2010/11 Z4 35is front rotors. Direct fit to 135i?
Hi,
I am in the market to replace my front rotors and pads on my 2008 135. Pads wise i think i will be going for StopTech Street Performance. Rotors originally were looking at the BMW Performance slotted & dimpled rotors, but recently was made aware that lighter Z4 35is ones could be mounted directly. I would like to verify is this is correct. Thank you in advance. |

They call for different part numbers. They might fit, but get the right part. You won't notice a difference in weight.

By who (or is that whom?)?
Any chance you could buy them and return them if they're uninstalled? Maybe then you could check first hand if there's a size or weight difference? Keeping in mind that you should be willing to pay shipping both directions and possibly a restocking fee as well, no sense putting a company out their time and inventory without some kind of reimbursement. Or - maybe a dealership would let you have a look? You'd need to be sure of everything - not just hole pattern but offset, diameters plural, etc. |

135i rotor is 338mmx26
z4 rotors from 2010 + can only fit 335i front calipers. 345mmx28 OR with a special part number the 330i front caliper. 330mmx26 OR with Dieselboost caliper carier from Tronik/dronik/ russian dude you can fit CSL m3 rotor 345mmx28 The only alternative to OEM rotor may be able to fit is the 235i/F30 335i base rotor - non Perf brake version 340mmx30 it may be too thick.

Just occurred to me, if 335i/z4 disk rotor has same offset as 135i
the 135i caliper needs a custom bracket and it will be able to use it... the samething RacingBrake did

but you may be correct that the thinness may require the custom braket to be centered in a new way for 28mm vs 26mm. ... I will check later reardign offset, but in a simple & dangerous scenario someone may simply mill a spacer for the current OEM bracket mounting points to caliper, to make 135i caliper work with 335i rotor. Then use longer Bolts to mount caliper to bracket + spacer, sourced from a different thread - Focusedintentons user and his replacement bolt for caliper mounting could tell you where to find them. Obviously the safer option is a new custom mill bracket... anyway thanks Suprgnat for correcting some dimention errors. I guess you are looking for a brake update like the 335i calipers
