Random bracket passenger footwell

Hey guys,

First post on here but I've been lurking for a while now, scrolling through here and there...

I can't find any explanation for this though... it looks like someone has bolted it on after market... I've had the car 2 months now... starting to find more and more things that don't seem quite right unfortunately...

Anyway I've attached a photo of this bracket... I can see the trims and carpet haven't gone back the way they should when this was fitted.

Does anyone have any idea what this bracket could have been fitted for?

Fair idea mate could have been that... I don't believe it was a taxi or anything before hand so it's a bit random but that's the best guess so far 👍🏼

Only other guess is a driving instructors car for their extended brake pedal

Why not just remove it, and put everything back to where it was before?

I've done that already... just though I would ask what it might have been used for... just curious what people thought on it

Assume you are RHD. Where in the footwell was the bracket? Take a picture farther back.
