Thinking of buying a 135i?

I'm in the market for a 135i and was wondering what other BMW models are close to the same size. There are no 1 series for sale in my area right now so I would like to go sit in a comparable sized model. I'm 6'2" tall and 240lbs so just want to make sure I fit comfortably. Thanks

If you plan to ware a helmet at any time, you won't be comfortable.

Expand your search area. East coast generally has plenty of them for sale.

FWIW, I'm 6'2 and was 255 lbs when I got my 135 with the sport seats.

Height was not a problem, aside from wearing a helmet which is a bit of a squeeze. It fits, but I do touch headliner from time to time depending on seat back placement.

Butt width was my only fit/comfort issue, but still some outrageously comfy seats. Health issues have dropped my weight down to ~205, and the seat couldn't feel any more comfy now...

Which seat did you get? The manual seats can go much lower about 1 3/8" lower and give you more headroom. The power seats, sit higher and don't go down as low. We get this a lot. Some people say, seating position is too high for example but they don't take into account this variation.

Very right!
Should have mentioned my sport seats are manual adjustment.

Leg length -vs- body length makes a difference too. I'm pretty standard I guess, with a inseam that ranges from 32 to 33 inches depending on brands & off the shelf or custom tailored.

6' 2" My weight has fluctuated over the years I've owned the car but at one point up to 300#, still fit fine but maybe a bit cramped.
I'm down to 240-ish now, fit great.

As some others have said, headroom can be tricky, depends on needs though. Need to fit a helmet? Need (or can find without?) to have power seats?, etc.

There are some big guys squeezing themselves into this tiny car. LOL.

For what it's worth, I'm 6'5" and 195 lbs.

We are in the North East. Most of the good cars are in winter storage still for some time.
For 135's, it's absolutely critical to get maintenance records, even hand written ones. You'll want to know what has been replaced as far as the known weak points of this car. Otherwise, you're into a money pit.

I'm 6'4" with a 34" inseam, sitting right at 2 hunnid lbs. I have a weird issue with my right hip, so driving for more than 2 hrs becomes and issue for me in just about any car.

I was really concerned about fitting, since I bought my car sight-unseen, but I've been loving it as my daily for the past 2 years. I have the sport/automatic seats, I wish I could sit a lil lower but I don't track the car so it's not a big deal for me.

Yes we do. Big guys in smaller cars always seems to be a thing for some reason, maybe we just like that comforting feeling of having the car "wrap" around us.

I'm a lean 6'1, but I have a 6'4 guys torso and a 5'10 guy legs. Headroom hasn't been an issue, I sit on the floor in all my cars though, and I have an M3 seat. I think fit is similar to the sport seats in our car, the comfort seats I had before seemed to ride a little higher than the m3 seat. But you can easily get a solid aftermarket seat that would leave enough room for a guy 6'8 for 500$ish bucks.

And aside from always breaking, I can't recommend this car highly enough. Me and my buddy did back to back runs together as passengers in eachothers cars, he has a dinan tuned m2c, I have alotta mods lol but our power is probably pretty close to identical. He left my car far more scared than I left his, I was about 10mph ahead of him on the same stretch of road, and the steering feel on my car is sublime.

A stock 135i is fairly pedestrian, but go pure stage 2 and get some coilovers and this is legit the best sports car I've ever driven. Those mods plus supporting mods cost me about 7 grand installed and my hp is almost doubled from stock (once tuned) and the handling is unbelievable, especially since these only cost me 1500 installed.

6'3" & 155lbs here. I track my 135 with sport seats quite frequently and a lot of the time I'm wearing my Racequip Pro20 helmet and I sit very straight up usually with my seat almost as straight up as it goes, and every once in a while (very rarely though) I just graze the headliner with the top of my helmet but its never a problem. For me at least.

I just sit with my seat lowered as far down as it goes and I'm golden.

If I can ask, seats electric or manual?
Sunroof or slicktop?
And, what's you're inseam?

And, if I may..., wow, really? The dictionary pic for tall & thin!

I assume by the tall and thin comment that those questions were meant for me haha.

Manual seats, sunroof, and I'm a 30 inseam and 34 length. And yes it makes properly fitting pants pretty hard to come by lol
