Hazard lights randomly on
A few minutes ago when my wife came home she alerted me that my hazard lights were flashing. Due to the current situation my car has been parked for a few weeks and I have no idea how long they might have been flashing. This is very strange, the car was locked and everything seems fine, nothing missing or broken.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Shades of my 1981 and 1983 E21's. The hazard switch on those first generation 320i models would fail internally - a detent that kept a spring under tension while the switch was off would fail, which turned the 4 way hazards on.
Did you simply turn it back off and it was ok? You might have bumped it accidentally when you left it last time. |

Yup, simply turned it off and it's been fine since. I guess I'd find it strange if I accidentally bumped it last time I was in it since it's been a few weeks and this has surely not been going in that long, I'd imagine my battery would be dead if it had.
