135i cooling fan socket/plug

Hi guys,

Can someone confirm me in yours 135i how many pins do you have in your cooling fan socket/plug?

3 pins in the car socket/plug side and 4 in the fan socket/plug?

For what I could see it seems there is an extra pin in the fan side that is not used, since the car only has 3, but would like to get confirmation if this is really like this or I am missing something

I been searching online for a while now, also tried to search here but was not able the number of pins on the fan socket side.

I found here a topic for a broken fan socket from the car side in an 135i, from which I was able to confirm the only 3 pins on the car socket.

I found that topic iminhell1 placed the link from the bimmerfest forum, but that was from one 328i in which he had a 400w fan and bought a 600w one, so not sure which 600w part number he got since is not describe there.

I also looked into the newtis website for the 135i and confirmed the only 3 wires going from the car electric wiring to the fan socket, but nothing that confirms how many pins the 135i fan socket should have, since I found some 600w fans with only 3 pins and others with 4 pins.

oneBIGtoe if you check in your car would be great just to be sure your fan socket has 3 or 4 pins in there.

Thanks a lot for that oneBIGtoe.

So it seems the fan plug has 4 pins and the car plug has only 3, so it seems one pin of the fan plug is not used.

Not all is clear.
