ScheerSpeed Detailed: CLK63 Black Series
Hey everyone, sorry if it seemed like i dropped off the face of the planet! i just got back from a two week stay in Israel, and let me just say, it is a beautiful place, and i had a lot of fun! except for the long plane ride! so now im back at the detailing .
this car has had very little usage. The paint was not in bad condition at all, just showed some signs o washing with improper media, and some spot-buffing which was not finished down correctly. And what a pain the ceramic clear is on this car, it took 3-4 passes with SIP and an Orange Uber pad to remove the imperfections. There was one deep RID that i could not remove from the hood, roof, and trunklid, however it was barely noticeable after i was finished with the whole process. Exterior -Wash -1Z Anti Insekt -CG CWC -Meg's mitt -P21s TAW -Wheels -CG CWC -P21s Gel -EZ detail brush -Swissvax wheel brush -OXO tire scrubber -ARO (tires) -Wheel Wells -Meg's APC+ -DD wheel well brush Clay -Special yellow poly clay -ONR lube Polishing -Exterior paint -Menzerna SIP via Orange Uber pad @ 1000-2000RPM (2-3 passes) -Menzerna PO85RD via blue Uber pad @ 1000-2000RPM -Makita 9227C -3M Yellow Foam Backing Plate -1000w halogen lights -ISA 50/50 wipedown -DD Uber MF towels LSP -Paint -Swissvax Cleaner Fluid -Swissvax Mystery (x2) -FK1# 425 -CG 530XL MF towels -Wheels -Swissvax Cleaner Fluid -Swissvax Autobahn -FK1# 425 -CG Barebones (wheel wells) -Swissvax Pneu Glass -Sprayaway glass cleaner Interior -Leather Master Trio -1Z Cockpit -Swissvax Mystery (Carbon parts) The car had been sitting for a while, hence the film of dust all over it. The owner wanted me to remove the clear bra from the hood, he didn't like how it distorted the reflection. so i started by warming it with the halogens; it was pretty cold outside, around 50F. and slowly removing the film after about 10 minutes, i was only halfway i thought the shape looked like a lizard or something now onto the wash, then clay, and prep for polish. here's the car all taped up. the imperfections a 50/50 more before pictures look at how hazy the carbon fiber front lip was! me polishing it with SIP a few shots after polishing Finished! sorry for not taking any final pics with the halogens. they both shorted out! i have gone through about 5 sets of halogen lights! i tried as best i could to get the metal halide shots then about a week later i came back to take pictures outside. However, the car had been driven a few miles, hence the light dust. thanks for looking! Dom |

Beyond Amazing. I love seeing your work on S2ki as well.
I could never clean these cars. I would waste too much time drooling all over them.
