Picked up the car Dec 2nd 2011.
Hit 5000 miles on Wed. I went through the coddling period but am starting to drive it more on a daily basis. My daily commute is only about 15 miles round trip on surface roads. So, the car never really gets opened up enough. I need to start doing some Auto-X and track days once the work schedule eases off a bit. Had one of the turbos replaced under warranty because the wastegate was not opening fully. Running strong again. Somewhat shocked at the avg mpg. I'm hovering between 15-16 mpg in city driving on 35 - 45 mph roads with light to moderate traffic. One paint chip on the right side fender (right under the M side marker). No idea how it got there. I have 3M scotchgard on most high impact areas but this was obviously not covered. Front passenger wheel got curbed a while back but it's not bad enough for me to get worked up over

Yep, my 135 was my "beater" until I finally sold it in April, leaving my 1M as my only car. Since then, I've racked up about 7,000 miles on my 1M!

Epic ED in September '11 where we covered 1980kms. Now sitting at around 11k kms. Shares summer duties with my e30 M3 so they both hibernate in the winter. Car is looking great except for 3 slightly curbed wheels. I've never curbed a wheel in the past and even though I'm ultra paranoid with these monstrous 19"s, it's just been a curb magnet.
2 track days (Nurburgring & Mt-Tremblant) and lots of back road blasts. I work from home so am pretty shocked that I've covered so much distance, just can't stop driving it. 1 qt of oil was needed after the last track day at 10k kms so I went ahead and did my own oil service.

Picked up in November 2011. 8,144 miles as of this morning.
Its not my daily driver, but I can't help but drive it. I have only put about 2000 miles on my "beater" since I got the 1M. |

Received at dealer Oct 2011. Put 1400 miles on it in two weeks. Then it sat in the garage for 9 months during my deployment with only ten miles a week put on it by a friend to keep it alive. Got back in June and now at 4900 miles. AZ sucks for road debris and chips but only few dings here and there.

Did ED on 8/26/11, and have 2,450 miles on it. Have a quarter inch blemish on the front passenger wheel I will need to sort out, have no idea how it happened, may have been the dealer parking it after 1,200 mile service.
On an unrelated note, I am in the midst of ED on my TT-RS, headed to Monaco this morning. Took delivery on 8/27/12...many flashbacks to my awesome 1M experience in Europe 1 year ago.

My car was delivered on the 20th October, which is the date driving nirvana began! I've had a few different cars but the 1M is just the best of the lot. It's so easy to drive, comfortable, refined, fast, handles well and is at home on both the track and driving to the shops. I can't fault it.
Mine was remapped in December 2011 at around 1340 miles and the fun factor increased again. The wheels were powdercoated in a Matt titanium colour in June, along with an N55 mid pipe and Forge intercooler. Other non-perfromance related parts were installed such as LCI blackline rear lights, my M badge and side repeaters were painted black and I installed Lux Angel Eyes. The car is a weekend driver but I've already clocked up just under 8000 miles in it. Yesterday I spent 5 hours with a car magazine having photos taken for a feature review that will go to press shortly. What a car!! |

Picked up my baby on 28 Nov 11 via PCD and drove 700 miles to IL. Then only compiled 1600 miles total up until June, when she started feeling neglected. She went into the dealer for a 3rd repair attempt on the pass restraint/airbag sys warning light for 17 DAYS straight . I felt bad for her and the time away, even though I didn't drive her much. After I got her back, I sold my Honda Pilot before moving from IL to Langley Air Force Base, VA. She has since been my daily driver and I now have 6500 miles. Yeah, I know!! She's meant to be driven and not garaged and she proves this to me by not throwing that fault again!!

Born on July 2011, picked up at The Welt on Jul 21th, ED saw me visiting 5 countries, 2 F1 venues (Nurburg- and Hungaroring), and 2,943km later dropped her off in Vienna.
Re-delivery on Oct 14th at PCD, and a 1,400 mile trip home. So before I knew it car had 3,300 miles in about 10 days of driving. Now at 9xxx, all smiles.

Same here. Got mine in October 2011 and it has 10K+ miles now. Never thought I'd see the day when I though of my E36 M3 as my beater.

ED day before Octoberfest started, then Frankfurt Autoshow (fantastic) then Nurburgring (gently, tho as was raining, only passed by a tricked out Mini who then proceded to go off road, no injury), then Trier, birthplace of that brilliant idiot, Karl Marx. 1 autocross, one track day and collecting stuff (Forge IC, N55, blacked out kidneys) for expanded fun. Paint chips led to 3M and modest tint. 5000 miles, only for fun times, GTI for the rest. Fantastic car, biggest surprise is that HK sounds pretty good for classical/jazz and even the kids' stuff!
