Interior questions

So, I have taken a lot of the interior out of my car, and I have a couple of questions about weight/some options.

1. I have not taken out the headliner yet. I was planning on removing that, and any airbags that are there. Does anyone know how much weight this saves?

2. Carpet is gone, but after driving around a bit, I miss my dead pedal. A LOT. Anyone know of a dead pedal that is for a car with no carpet? (the oem one is molded into the carpet)

3. Door cards...Anyone make them? I have not removed my door cards yet, but I would like to. But, I do not want bare interior doors, and I would like a place to mount switches, door handles, etc.

Check out this car: https://www.torquenews.com/106/cp-e-...s-m-coupe-sema

It's the SEMA Revozport built 1M. Someone who runs with the local BMW club actually bought it and has been tracking it. Doesn't participate in the forums from what I remember him telling me. The carbon fiber doors cards look amazing in person. Can't be cheap though.

Better pictures of the door cards can be found in the catalog: http://revozport.com/revoRT/1m_raze/download/1m.pdf

Oh wow. Yeah, I am going to guess those cost abut half of what I paid for the car. That car made my pants fit weird though. Holy balls. Gorgeous.

I was looking for something more along the lines of an ABS panel like this:

For the dead pedal I would have a shop build and weld one in.

The headliner has really no major gains there... the fabric weighs a couple oz; and the headliner itself it's a very lightweight plastic. There is only one piece of sound deadening (at least on my no sunroof) and you have all the airbags too.

I think when I weighed the headliner is was just around 4lbs if that?

I looked it up, and that is exactly right. I think I am going to keep it, I may drop the airbags out if I get frisky, but even though it is a track car, I drive to and from for up to 10-12 hrs each way. The Headliner adds a bit to comfort, and I like having map lights, etc.

Thanks for the info. Definitely helps.
