I did the same thing; test drove it one weekend, fell in love, and bought it the next weekend when I (finally) got my license back in March 2017.

The car has come a long way since then...

Having to replace the evaporator, fix an oil leak, replace the transmission and replace the coolant overflow all within a 3 month window. On a car 2013 with 43k miles I bought a year ago...

Worst for me would be a hit and run. Was in the fast lane and the person in front of me got on their brakes lightly then slammed on them and cause they were braking lightly at first it was hard to tell that they slammed on the brakes. Well i got on my brakes a little bit more and they locked up and i slid sideways into the back of them, hit the wall, and slid against the wall for a bit. Looked over after it happened and they just kept going.

Damage: all tires ruined (flat spots), passenger door was done with, put a dent in the side of my car, and messed up my already messed up front bumper from hitting the wall.

LOL... I wacked my Z3 with a full 4x6 board, never got it fixed luckily no paint damage just a big crease, the whole door panel would have to be removed to do PDR as they cant jigger it in from the window gap because of reinforcement because its a vert, was like that when I traded it in for the 135.

I constantly have to tell my kids not to touch anything in the garage. They dont listen, guess its my fault for turning them into car & tool nuts.

Yesterday I gave them a new tool set with a bunch of working pliers, wrenches, and even a C clamp. Wife had to bring them home early because they kept nagging her that they wanted to go home to play with their new tools

And then there's the screw that almost went through the roof while installing my sunroof delete panel. And then the weird divot in my roof that seems to move to a different position each day...

Accident-free for almost a year now (not my fault)...idiot free, never.

*sigh* Looks like my coolant hose broke again. Overheating. Good thing I made it to work before I got stranded somewhere. Nope, it was the brittle ass plastic coolant tube. Replaced it with metal. Problem solved.

Holy moly, that beats me by 10 mph haha (120 past a cop at 5am on an empty highway) I ended up with a seatbelt ticket and a warning for reckless. The cop treating me nicely was actually a huge eye-opener for me and I've slowed down ever since.

When my coolant tube broke it splattered coolant everywhere in the engine bay, how do I get rid of the smell?

First 10 minutes

I was driving home after prolonged negotiations with non BMW dealer. One of the items on my you-gotta-fix-before-I-sign list was the cracked oil filler cap. They did install a new BMW part, BUT were inattentive to the fitment of the cap's O ring. Drove less than 5 km , oil light comes on in the driveway. A hemorrhage of oil, the track extending out the drive and down the street... Engine bay covered in oil, obvious gap at cap where it is NOT seated fully. O ring pinched. Put in 2 liters, got it towed back. Still "discussing" who pays for new belt, but I am just as glad to never darken thier door again.
Other side of coin is I have a bare bones black on black 300+HP less than 30K mile, new PSS all around .., just waiting for the 400 cms of snow to melt.

Third day of ownership I headed cross country transporting a cat that had been rescued out the woods just 3 weeks prior. 70mph traffic on Houston area freeways. Cat was in a carrier & whining. I figured he needed to go to the litter box sitting on the passenger side floor mat. He did need to go but missed the box with his working end. Stopped cleaned up and headed back onto the freeway.

Once I got back on the road he freaked and started walking across the front dashboard back and forth between there and my shoulders. I nearly turned around and said f it.

I picked up my 135 in Greensboro, NC then drove it all the way back to Denver co. She was doing great until I hit the pothole equivalent of the Mariana Trench somewhere near St. Louis. It was around 5am and it blended in well with the horribly patched roadway. It bent the front right wheel beyond repair, as well a slight bend in the back left wheel. $350 later and a new wheel is on the way.

Wow what a crap maiden voyage! Glad it's getting back to normal. Consider filing a claim against whatever county the pothole was in if you think it's worth it!
