Wet carpet- please help!

2011 135i

Drivers side front and rear carpets are wet.
Tested sunroof drains they seem to be working fine. If i run a stream of water through, no leaks from a pillar. if I spray high pressure though sunroof drain it leaks a little down a pillar but don’t think that’s unreasonable. Shut sunroof and sprayed water directly at sunroof glass and no leaks. Spray water high pressure at door seals when closed, no leaks.

I’m thinking it’s the AC drain clogged? ran car yesterday for a few hours with heat on, ac on, with recirculating on and it seemed to have made issue worse.

Any insight on this? Thanks!

I have chased some leaks over the years. Since you are getting water in the front and back, I might lean toward the door's vapor barrier. There is a bead of goo like caulk that holds a foam barrier to the door. The barrier glue usually breaks down at the bottom of the door. You can use a garden hose to soak down the door window glass so that it goes down to the rubber strip on the edge of the door frame at the glass. See what you get from that test. I have also just run a pice of shipping tape over the seam where the water gets past the rubber seal at the window in a big rain to see if that prevented the leak. Good luck!
