Shifter choices
I was autocrossing over the weekend and miss-shifted 1-2 on my last 2 runs. This is not the first time it happened but I noticed it happened when I shift while making left turn. I don't have racing seat and I guess I'm holding on to that shifter and putting too much pressure and catching the reverse gate just enough for the shifter to get stock.
After it happened last time (last year) I rebuild my shifter eliminated all of the clearance and it feels nice and solid. I thought I was in clear until last weekend. I'm looking for recommendations on aftermarket shifter that will not do that. Anyone experienced same thing? Ziggy |

What's the condition of your engine/transmission mounts? I'm running new stock motor mounts and rogue engineering transmission mounts and it keeps everything good, no trouble shifting at Autox.

Doubling up to say yeah, try stiffer/fresher trans mounts. I have the e46 m3 ones and found them to be a decent improvement over the stock ones.

I just purchased 80 A Durometer mounts. I will report if this helps once I have it installed.
I was also thinking of aftermarket shifter, is it worth it? |
