Valvetronic Delete, anyone done it?

Think the car I am slowly converting to a track only car has a bit of valvetronic issues. From gathering information, some of them might be caused by me and leaving the battery off when not around the car or working on it. I saw instructions as to how to reset the valvetronic system and since it's on the internet, I know it is correct. In looking at wht fixing a real issue would require it appears that a new motor and shaft should take care of any issues. I remember seeing a vanos delete for the s54 and thought that this could also be done on the n55 in some fashion as I am way past being concerned about fuel milage.
So anyone done this yet? If so any details would be greatly appreciated!
Jay
