Seat Options for 2008 128i Convertible

The comfort access, non-sport seats in my '08 128i convertible need replacement and I'd like to broaden my search for replacements. I've seen several posts about which seats fit which, but those are usually focused on the coupes.

Are 1-series coupe and convertible seats interchangeable? So, by extension, would E92 seats also fit?


E93 seats have built-in seatbelts, so that's a clear "no", and E90 seats don't fold forward, so also "no" from what I can tell.

I just went through this with my 2011 135i. I replaced an entire interior. I had non power but heated seats. I was able to take a full m-sport interior with power movement/lumber/bolster/heated and make it work. Look on facebook marketplace. I can't speak for all the seats but i would try to stick with either 1 series or same years of 3 series. you have to get into wire splicing and re-pinning connectors. it is not plug and play. It is possible.
