To inscript or not to inscript?

Just wondering what you guys think of having the model inscription at the rear...yay or neigh?

I personally prefer to leave it on...to show that the car in front is not a Toyota, but a BMW beast

I personally like how the car looks when the model badging isn't on the car. However, Americans like to show they spent the extra money to get the 330i rather then the 325i (or 545i vs 525i) so they leave it on. This is my take on the situation at least, lol.

I agree... looks cleaner without the badging, but then again let's say I spent money on the ///M, I'd leave it on

HAHA!! Good point! I am getting a 325 and I AM taking it off..Im having the chrome window surrounds installed, which is basically the main thing differentiating the two externally...SHH!! That coupled with the fact that I would probably be the only person in Europe with a badge..However the Brits LOVE to show off the fact that they have a 320d..Deisels are the trendy alternative here...Go figure...

Who's doing it for you? Will a dealership have the chrome molding and be able to put it on? Will it be expensive, do you think? It's too bad the 325i doesn't have the chrome. I had two choices: get the 325i fully loaded, or get the 330i with chrome, but completely bare as far as options, so I went for the 325.

Almost EVERYONE debadges here..they only started to put them back on when the E46 323 came out in 97', 98'. I am having the dealer put the chrome moldings on and it is costing 488 bucks installed.

Huh? I thought the 325i does come with the Chrome window surround. It is standard with both 6 cylinder engines, no? Ahh maybe it is in Europe version, but not in US. Shame.

That's really bad. I had no idea. Bozo, since you're in the UK, you should have got a UK version or even better for you, a Europe one....left hand drive, but with all the Europe spec.

Believe me mate, I thought about it, but as I am only here for a couple years, I couldnt see myself dropping 20,000+ quid for a car I couldnt take back..Ours are about half that price...The emissions standards in the states are rough too...AND the rest...There are also options here that some in the states cant even get from their dealers..That why Im taking orders...And getting everything I can NOW..
