Miata is like 2400lb, s2000 is way under 3000lb also..
Next gen STi should drop about 50-150lb (2008 wrx dropped 50lb)..
if there is mazdaspeed miata with 2.3l Turbo, then there will be an ultimate track car (2400lb, 300+hp with chip).
I do hope 135 will be around 3000-32000lb, it will be an amazing car..

So do I, but I based on past experience with BMW & MINI, the move toward luxury, comfort and safety is much stronger than the move to shed weight. Like most other manufacturers, they're trying to overcome the extra weight with with more power and suspension engineering. And, while I'd like to have the car come in at 3000 lbs, I have to admit that they've been really successful in making heavy cars that seem to perform like much smaller, lighter cars.

I guess if we really wanted light cars, we'd all be buying a Lotus Elise or Miata... As much as I admire those cars, I'll buy the 135i.
