very happy New 128i owner from ny

Hey everybody , what s up . I just got the 128i black sapphire , steptronic, prem sound , power seats. I have been reading this forum for a while and finally the 1er arrived. I already drove a few bmw's but this car exceeded my expectations. The 135 must be a rocket!!!. I have called the dealer and I was trying to find out if anybody has the final scoop on the Logic 7 prem sound. I have only counted 8 speakers including the 2 subs under the seats. I was told there is only 10 speakers total or is there 13 which the brochure says. The system sounds amazing but just trying to finally find out what the deal is. I look forward to meeting fellow 1ers on here . Also I was reading about Zaino wax. Blac is a bithc to keep clean and thinking about getting the zaino wax any feedback and is it what the website says. Thanks alot for any advice any one has out there.

Joe from LI NY

Welcome to 1Addicts. You will like it here... a lot.

re. wax/polish... You'll find lots of great info over in the "Detailing / Washing / Waxing..." forum (link below)...

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=54

A good way to meet and greet fellow members is to post stories about ordering, purchase, delivery, and/or pick-up. Everybody has a story to tell! Even better is to post photos of your new ride (this is a sure-fire way to generate great feedback and get ideas for mods to your new 128).

You'll have to search far and wide to find a better, more supportive, more enthusiastic group of BMW owners anywhere on the Web.

Good luck with your new 1.

I do not have premium sound, but I wouldn't be surpised if they use 3-way speakers in the doors or main rear speaks.

those are the speakers that have a main woofer and two tweeter sized speakers on the center of the cone. looking something like this and technically has 3 seperate speakers.

Awesome, great to have another 128i owner to balance out this forum from the rev-heads 135i owners that over-run it (you know I'm only joking ).

There is in fact a dual speaker arrangement in the rear parcel tray, a tweeter over a mid, so you can't see them, but all 10 are there.

I love my 128i as well, it's just passed 2000km (1200m) so Let's check out that 0-100 in 6 seconds claim !!

Thanks Matt -
The first time I saw that I almost died laughing (the grey and white cat is pretty much identical to my own kitty, although she refuses to heal no matter how hard I ask).

Iliveforthis -

I'm all around ny. Live up in bronx, but since I work in astoria, go to school in the city, and have friends scattered about I generally drive all over, especially late on jewish holidays since the city empties out (one of my favorite times of the year). Got the car up at Pace BMW, but I went to pretty much every major dealership in the area to get a good price, in the end I got a great price and probably found the person I will buy every future car from since he's just a really good guy.
