Not everybody understands gear ratios and power distribution. It's ok. That guy might know Genetics instead.
As for the jump from 4th to 2nd in the auto, it's the kickdown switch, which happens when you floor the peddle all the way. It looks at your speed and picks the gear that matches about 5k rpms for maximum lift off. |
