One of my old stock turbo logs, completely maxing them out.

They would not have lasted log if pushed this hard but I wanted to know what they where capable off

330rwk on e85

https://datazap.me/u/martymil/log-15...0&data=1-4-5-8

As you can see the wgdc back those days was pwm and its completely maxed

Shaft speeds are off the chart

What i'm trying to show is that I never seen stock turbos make this much boost, period.

I've only been able to replicate these kind of boost levels with stock turbos on 1m's

DISCLAIMER

DO NOT TRY this kind of boost levels as your turbos will not survive long, this was for testing purposes only

Thanks for clarifying this Rob. I think most of us knew this but it's good for Marty to also understand that they are all the same turbo's with just newer part numbers.

I've raced a 1M with very similar mods to my 335i and we were both running 21psi of boost and ethanol. My car was consistently faster every time.

Well I finally tracked the bloke down which had the smaller inlets.

What he failed to tell me was that he brought his turbos of ebay out of china.

God knows what he has but hey are definitely not oem hence why he needed inlets
because the stock ones did not fit.

I wish these blokes would say something before hand.

I'm still not convinced there was no internal changes from the first turbos bmw
released to the current crop judging from the boost levels that are achievable compared
to the old versions.

They definitely do not look the same, camera cant take a picture of the cat but the difference looks tiny

Definitely different as the cats fitted to the 1m are only fitted to the 1m from the part numbers still to today

It's funny how people think because the PN is different that it means a performance upgrade.
