FREE: BSW Stage 1 Kits - SoCal Only
BSW needs cars (SoCal ONLY) for product development and we are happy to give away a Stage 1 Audio Upgrade absolutely FREE for anyone willing to donate their time / vehicle. Vehicles we need:
How it will work: 1. You'll bring your vehicle to our San Diego, CA development location. Your vehicle will be need to be in clean, freshly washed condition since we may be filming. We'll keep the vehicle for 1-2 days. 2. We will be analyzing the performance of your stock audio system and will install a prototype Stage 1 Audio Upgrade for your vehicle. 3. If the performance of the prototype system meets our standards, we will leave the product installed and you will be able to enjoy it immediately! If it doesn't perform like we want it to, then we will return your vehicle to stock, then make the needed changes to the upgrade and contact you again when it's ready so we can try again. 4. If you're on time and good to work with, we'll continue to come to you first for new projects and products and you'll get first dibs on absolutely FREE products from BSW in the future! Interested? Contact me via email at mdc AT bavsound DOT com for more details. |

I spoke with them and was informed that: 1. MY09 has hifi audio no doubt 2. MY 08 and 10 have base or hifi options 3. so they're looking for a non MY09 135i with base audio for now FYI

secret menu/audio system level
on another thread, there's a hack to get to a secret menu in your headunit. As I recall, with the engine on, you hold down the "m" button on the headunit (I think that's the one on the left side between the two arrows (I think it's the "manual tune") and after a few minutes you get a series of menus that you can scroll through using the right dial knob. One of the menus tells you if you have "HiFi," which is the US "base" audio, or "TopHiFi," which is what we call premium.
I'm keen to hear about these speakers . . . I bought my 1er used and it was exactly what I wanted, except it didn't have premium sound. I find the sound "good enough," but I'd love it to be better . . . |
