The 135i is one of the most fun cars I've ever driven. I also drove the new M3 today and it really needs to be driven on a track. At normal day to day speeds it feels its weight and wants to go fast, but can't. It then drives pissed off and grumpy. The 135i is much more fun to drive under 120 mph. *on a side note the M3 HAULS ASS and sounds like a 60 muscle car on roids. It also has the vague long throw 6 speed that the last M3 had...:thumbsdow

For those who wonder should I spend the extra $$$ and get the stereo upgrade???? DON'T WONDER AND DO IT. I have heard both with SAT radio and ipod and there is no comparison what it sounds like with Logic 7 and a tune to your ear.....jm2c

....btw...I did the 2 mile or 2 minute break in period when I left the lot....

Looks great. By the way, do I have to order the trunk spoiler or does it come with a particular package? Or does it have to be ordered separately?

Thanks.

Question about Seat Belt Buckle Trim

I noticed in one of your pictures that the trim on the seat belt buckle appears to be a silver pattern. Is this standard or special order? What color trim did you get? Looks good!

Dunno how I missed this thread. Yet another stunning car, and nice crispy pictures to boot! Please post one of those driving impression posts/threads when you come up for air.

Shawn, when you're ready to do the dyno day, contact either me or FreeBMW (Clayton). Both of us speak with Jan (pronounced like "Yon") @ Speed Industry pretty often. Jan is actually a member here now (goes by "speed industry"), so you could contact him directly if you so desired. There isn't another dyno in the area that will yield more accurate results and the group pricing for 3 pulls is phenomenal. It's worth getting in contact.

I'll let you know if I decide to pull the trigger... I could be down for some dyno action!

I've got to be out of town until next week. I will order the valve and SSTT so we can get a base line dyno and SSTT run. I would bet 305-310 whp on 93 oct.

Why don't you order me a valve & SSTT as a convincing reason to order my car while you're at it?

Concerning the dyno, I won't rule out those #s, but more so from the TQ side of things. Though, I'm not an expert either... And it wouldn't be the first time a One surprised me! Just don't be disappointed if you don't hit that mark... This dyno WILL NOT stroke you with high #s. I can assure you that if you do your homework though, you will find out that they're dead-on accurate.

For reference Clayton's car made 262.3 RWHP @ 5500 RPM and 274.6 ft/lbs @ 3250 RPM. A stock STi generally comes in somewhere around 225/225 (all-wheel, obviously) and my car did like 320/300 w/FP Green turbo (mind you, it pulled pretty solid all the way to redline). While I never got to run it, both Jan and I were pretty confident that it was capable of 11.90s with that power.

Personally, I think you cheated and used REAL camera gear to take those fabulous pictures of that stunning car, making the rest of us look like amateurs.
I just can't stop looking at those pics.
