black coated exhaust tips

how should we clean these? Is it the same way as chrome tips?

Is it bare paint or coated with a protective layer? Normally you can use a light degreaser to remove loose build ups. After that to restore the shine I'd suggest a metal polish. Just test the polish on a small area first to make sure the black doesn't come off. I've seen some low budget paint work on metals come off with a metal polish, but generally it's not a problem.

I believe you should be able to polish those tips with great results.
