Separating shifter from shifter arm

Hey all,

Anyone know the correct method to separate the shifter from the shifting arm?

I managed to snap a piece off my shifting arm (with 1 finger…) and just got a replacement oem, now trying to figure out how to get the shifter out of the old one without breaking that too…

Thanks!

You have to twist the white plastic cup that is holding the ball in. I usually do it with some pliers or two screwdrivers from above, but you may be able to do it from below with it out. Look up any SSK DIY and it'll show you how to remove the cup.
