To sum up, according to BMW NA, it works!

So i did a bit more research on this. As it turns out in slotted and drilled applications the direction of the rotors has nothing to do with the direction of the slots or holes but with the direction of the vanes. If the vanes are diagonal the vanes need to lean towards the back of the car. If the vanes are straight then it does not matter. The bmw rotors have straight vanes so it does not matter what direction the holes or slots are. click here

Now isn't that interesting. So I guess it doesn't matter if one side has the slots going in one direction and the other side they're going the other direction. I guess that's Ok since you can only see one rotor at a time anyway. Seems a little funky but I guess its OK. :iono:

I was thinking the same exact thing. I called my mechanic and he confirmed its all about the air vanes inside the rotor. He said pay no attention to the holes or slots on the face of the rotor.

Hopefully BMW will release more info on this soon! As for now, only fronts are available, which is where all the brake power is! I'd want rear to match too though.

:wink: I'll give BMW a shout today. I would hope within the next few months.. but can't say for sure. It's not in the BMW Performance catalog as of now
