protection service necessary?

I am soon going to pick up my 135, and I live in Vancouver . The dealership (B&J) recommended a shield protection service, which includes leather, fabric, paint, undercoat, and rust protection. Wondering if anybody here has done it? and how is it? does it worth the money (around$600)?
Thanks in advance.

I was told by my dealer not to do a rust proofing on the car as all BMW's come with rustproofing already done.

Not needed... Sounds like a dealership cash grab.

Garage List
Skip it! It's a cash grab.

Rustproofing is already done. A good detail company would do the rest for half the price.

Or better still, get some products & do it yourself for even less.

I walked away from a deal at Auto West because the SA wouldn't waive the paint & leather care warranty or whatever the hell it was ($1295 or there abouts) & added an alarm ($795) that I didn't want.

Funny thing is that the car I wanted didn't even have leather!

NO! Don't do it! Save your money and buy some good leather care and some good wax. If your are concernmed about your carpets get some scotchguard and spray them your sell for cheap. The rust warranty with your car is good and you don't need then opther stuff. Remember Vancouver is wet but they don't use salt very often (vertually never!) so your car is fine.

Hey VFX (above) I visited Autowest BMW for a test drive and the SA was a total dick and he said I HAD to buy the extra car package...even said I must buy the rear bumper 3M protection stickers and all sorts of crap. He refused to take it of the estimate he gave me for the car. He was a total dick! Brian Jessel was WAY BETTER to deal with!
