Military pricing?
Has anyone gotten the official military pricing yet? I have my deposit down with pentagon (for about 3 months) and they still dont have official pricing. They only have the guesstimate of 31k for the 135i , Just curious if anyone else has gotten it.

Same here with my local military sales group...They keep saying that they have no information from Munich but the guess is 10% off US MSRP which puts the cost at $31k and change. I hope to know soon so I can finalize my order, still not sure about the premium package and am hoping that the official price might make the choice easier.

I'm still waiting too. My military sales rep told me that their BMW department opened back up on the 7th of January and they were expecting pricing soon after that. I also asked and was told the priority ordering options (P1) were NOT available through the military sales program. Wondering if you guys have asked and hopefully heard something different.

John970............ from what I can gather, leases are not available through the military sales program. You can only order one through the program while you're deployed. After you pay the $2100 shipping charge to have the car delivered to a state side dealer the final cost of the car typically comes out to be a little under dealer invoice. It's a really good deal for the guys who are stationed in Germany because they can save on the $2100 and just have it shipped home for free with their orders when their tour is up. I'm sooo hoping that one of the military dealers allows us to do the priority ordering option.

Way back in the day the Base PX had the info. Don't know how it works now. There are a couple of threads here on the subject--search "military+sales".

I've read quite a few threads where service people went through Pentagon Car Sales for military pricing and delivery... Good luck.

atr_hugo,
Even if he were Navy, he wouldn't be on a blue or gold crew in SoCal...The SSBNs on that coast are in Bangor, WA. The only subs in SoCal are in San Diego, and they are SSNs, which only have one crew. Rich |

Are any of you in Iraq right now? I am retired Army but a contractor with Raytheon now and currently at Camp Liberty. If any of you are here let me know and maybe we can get together and drool over pics of the 1er.

Guys, just got this from my military sales rep. Attached are the military price lists for the 128 and 135. You'll also see that the priority 1 options ARE available! Keep in mind that this price does not include the $2100 destination charge to a stateside dealer. All in all still a great deal for anyone who's deployed. I now just wish I was able to fast forward a bunch of months to drive my future jetblack 135 with lemon interior.

BMW Military sales is not just for people deployed it is a thank you for people serving their country thousands of miles away from home whether that be in a deployed status or stationed overseas. They also extend the program to other nations military members/NATO forces.

John970,
I'm not buying the car to drive in Iraq, but rather ordering it to have it waiting upon my return to the states. Not too sure why the destination charge is so much, but it does cover the shipment from the factory to a dealer of your choice, all the dealer prep handover costs, plus the import duty. I do know for 550 Euros I have the option of picking the car up in Munich, getting a tour of some BMW museum, and then breaking it in on the Autobahn as I drive it to a port to be shipped back to one of six ports in the states. That's a lot cheaper than $2100, but you have to get yourself to Munich and a return flight out from whatever the port city is in Northern Germany. The vacation part of it would be awesome, but then you have to wait a few weeks for your car to arrive in the States. |
