Week 19er here. My 128i hitched a ride on the Emden and has (hopefully) been unloaded in S. Carolina. However, it's still listed as "in transit" on the phone.

yeah...on the Emden too...but my CA takes about a week to make it to the midwest (Cincinnati area here)...so we all know it's gonna take BMW website a bit to catch up...I'd prob plan on an early next week pickup

Picked my baby up last night... I have to say, this car is amazing. Worth the wait for sure. I'll try to post up some pics and a quick review later today... five minutes after I got her home, we had a huge thunderstorm roll through, so I couldn't snap any pics!

So hitthemark41... what's a Dallas Stars fan doing in Northern Kentucky? I'm a KY Wildcats fan in Dallas, and boy do I feel out of place. The UK license plate holder on the Monaco Blue 128 (when it gets here) will help.

lol..that it will my friend! I'm also a big Texas Longhorns fan so I get a lot of raised eyebrows about my license plate brackets and auto decor (of the two). I'm actually from this area, but have been a Stars fan since a kid...when they were in Minnesota. I went to see them in Big D in '94 and REALLY fell in love with the state...and have been back a few times each year since (3 times in '05 during the Horns run to the championship! sweet!:thumbup. Hopefully my plans to make it to your great state will come to fruition soon...until then I will pass along your good wishes to all those bleeding Blue up here....and there are plenty trust me!

Picked up my car last night. Wow - even at lower RPMs (break in) that thing has zip! I can't believe that brake dust. Only 60 miles and it looks like I haven't touched it for a month. That stuff doesn't come off with just water; I had to hit it with brake dust cleaner. My first time with a BMW, that brake dust is nasty. Minor but manageable annoyance. I'm loving the drive. I'll work on getting pictures in this weekend.

This is a stupid question, but, does this process go on through the weekends?

Haha, I hear ya. I had decent amount of brake dust on my old M3, but after a day of driving, my 1er's wheels are already showing significant dust. It comes with the territory...

I believe the VPC will work on Saturdays if there are a lot of cars that need to be processed.

Only 2 Days from Port to Dealer!

My Fellow Emden passengers, your cars will most likely be at the dealer by the end of the week....Check this out....I called my dealer this morning and left a message to confirm that delivery should take place by friday, so I can pick my car up on Saturday morning.

I almost dropped the phone when he called me at Noon today and said, "Your car is here!" I asked him to repeat what he said and sure enough, "My car arrived this morning to the dealer in Durham, NC." That means, 2 days total from the time the Emden arrived at 10 AM Monday until the car was delivered to the dealer. Priority 1 (Sold cars) really does make a difference getting unloaded from the boat and going through VPC - It's like First Class! I am picking her up tomorrow night!

I would imagine your 1er is on a truck heading to the dealer.

I am still in shock - Keep hope alive you'll have it before the weekend!

Holy Cattle!
Maybe the car's on a truck to Texas instead of a lot in South Carolina.
Interesting.

Yep....was on the Emden as well! I just don't know if it got dropped off in SC or Baltimore. I really wasn't expecting to see it till either the very end of the week or possibly early next week, then I get the call today around 3pm from my CA saying the car just got unloaded off the truck. They still have to PDI it, but I'm most likely picking her up Friday since I need to figure out if I'm going to trade in my M3 or what I'm doing with her. You'll see it since if you're over in Detroit! Good luck!

Congrats to those that got their cars!

My status still shows en route to prep center, but I'll call my CA later today and find out what's going on.

Reading things like this makes me hopeful for a fast processing and shipping to my dealership.

Site shows "at prep center" for me also.. my CA said it'd be in "early next week."

Is this when the sleepless nights begin?
