INJEN

Hi Guys need a bit of help, I want to fit an Induction kit and was thinking of the INJEN kit ,would I be right in thinking that I would need the kit for the early (N54 08-09 ) kit as the people selling the kit are getting mixed up and want to sell me the 2011 MY kit which would be the N55 engine .Any help would be great or if someone has fitted one to their 1M would like to hear.many thanks for any help Or correct part numbers

You definitely want to make sure you get an intake for an N54. (#Sp1125) Any reason you chose Injen over the others?

No other reason other than it looked good .A poor reason but the truth

That is fine. I had one on my 135 and I was not happy with it. It didn't perform as well as the stock box.

any other issues ...take it you would not have another one or recomend any other makes.want to get it right as its a long way to scotland from usa

I ordered an Afe Stage 2 Si. Hopefully it will perform well.

+1, I had the injen on my 08 135 and it sucked.... in a bad way...

I second this comment. With the amount of ambient heat given off by the engine bay, a sealed system is a benefit.

I took my DCI off my 335i as my performance on hot days was less than spectacular
