Poor USD + online shopping + United BMW + 135i = BMW Performance Diffuser
Can't believe I waited this long, but the good Aussie Dollar versus the US Dollar, means I finally cracked and couldn't be happier. Right amount of aggression and right amount of sleeper mod. Went the BMW OEM route as the couple of hundred $ cost difference didn't seem worth the risk of delivery delays and gamble on questionable quality for non-OEM.
And Mr Harvey shouldn't worry about GST on products below AU$1,000, he should worry about those above too!!! No duty and no GST on delivery, despite plenty of markings indicating the value was above AU$1,000, including the shipping insurance value logged with the FedEx paperwork. So extra happy there

Ordered direct from the United BMW website. Shipping was listed there fore Aust - USD175. It was packaged very safely, and Dan always uses FedEx.
When the weather improves I'll give it a wash and take better shots.

Nice, i got mine from United BMW as well about 12 months ago and got done for customs etc bout $150 from memory... The OEM CF Spoiler goes trick with it too, you certainly wont get done by customs on that...

Sick, I'm gonna tell my repairer to order the performance diffuser instead of the stock one.
FREE UPGRADE.

Yeah, the carbon fiber diffuser looks very cool.
I was thinking of going the iCarbon route, however given that the cost difference is marginal, the BMW OEM product seems like the smarter buy. I also think the styling of the iCarbon product towards the centre of the diffuser, is kind of overdone and looks too busy. Hey Trev, would you mind PM'ing me the price you paid from Tischer. Thank you, Jus. |

Is there? I'm gonna see if they're willing to do it.
Where do I find the part no. for the genuine BMW diffuser?

I will be purchasing through "european auto source". I imagine if "we" were to order say 3 diffusers, David at eas would be inclined to better his standard online price. If anyone is interested please let me know, I will run this by him before I place my order. Cheers, Jus. |

Hi Jus / Jeef Beef,
just look at Tischer website at www.getbmwparts.com i just paid that. it went up recently to $1280 or something but when i ordered last month, it was $1175. Shipping only $35 as it was USPS not UPS or FEDex. Risky I know, but Tischer's always done that for my ohter parts adn they've always arrived nice and packed with bubble wrapped etc. Customs all up add $280 (GST 10% + Duty 5% + general customs admin BS fees, plus i used a $55 customs broker so i didn't have to risk lodging wrong forms and getting BS fees multiple times) Cheers Trev |
