Those look great in the daylight too. I was currently running the DDM Tuning HID's which were bright even during the day but even with the Error Code Eliminators I still had a bulb out on my dash and since my car is a lease and didn't want to get caught with those on the car I never drilled a hole in the back of the headlamp caps and drove through some heavy rain and burned out the headlamp ballast and the AHL system. So I'm currently rocking the stock bulbs again and want to switch to LED so I won't have any exposed wires from a HID kit. My car went into the shop and since it's under warranty they ended up replacing both headlamps and AHL modules.

Lol lucky Tweaked SRT4. What we're you thinking though leaving the caps slightly open for the wires? Obviously moisture etc will get in (as you realised ). You could have just bought a spare set of caps to drill into. but at least you sorted now.

I was planning on going that route before I damaged anything and get spare ones but didn't relize I got that much moisture in them. haha I priced the caps and was shocked how cheap they were. Like under $10. I went through some deep water and I'm glad all I did was ruin the bulbs rather than hydrolocking the motor. We got hit with a lot of rain back in early August and all the roads were flooded and the police didn't properly block off streets and I got stuck going through so of the flood street just up to the front wheels. Either way I still get bulb out error codes with the HID kit I was using so I'm just going get a LED set instead since I'm guaranteed they won't have error's.

Nice one

I must say I was a tad disappointed in day time brightness of the LUX after all the raving on the forum. Thought they would at least be as bright/visible as stock. But they are probably the best out there for the moment.

The ones in the OP dont seem bad at all for the money though!

Yeah considering I'm leasing this car and on a budget until I actually decide to own the car I'll probably get a set of the LED's from Ebay. I was going to get the GP Thunders before the HID's but I only spent maybe $50 on those. The only things I've done with the car at the Shadowline kidney grilles and that's it. I went in over my head on my SRT4 and don't plan to go down that road again with this car.

I am debating on purchasing the LED's that you have... How do they compare to the stock angel eyes as far as daytime brightness?

Hi guys looking for some insight....

I just got out of my 335i, bought a 2010 135i. thought they would come with the white Angle eyes. but still got the shitty yellow looking ones that came with my 07' 335i. I want the ones that the lci models have. im not picky i don't want them any brighter just the same as the lci models now. which kit do you guys think would be best for me. I don't want any error codes of any sort and definately no bulb out error. Easy and nonhassle install would be plus as well. Thanks in advance for any help.

I think that they are as bright as the OEM lights. The outer ring is a little duller than the inner ring but I think this was the same on the OEM bulbs. For the price you can't go wrong. Give them a try. Meke sure you get the same ones as I did as I've seen a mate of mine's LED from EBAY which were dearer and no where near as bright.

Yes, you are correct about the OEM bulb outer ring being more dull than the the inner ring. If you could tell me the specific seller that you purchased them from that would be great. I would like to try them out... thanks

I got them from here:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-9W-H8-C...item1e66fee1f6

The seller is etopauction. They appear to have gone up a little in cost since I bought them. There are a few other sellers that appear to be selling the same product.

Great! thanks a lot! I am so indecisive but don't feel like spending $$$ on light bulbs... I just don't want them to be dimmer than the stock OEM bulbs despite the color...they are not too much $ ... so I can always go back to stock if I want to... I hope I like them.

fyi - from the look of those, those are 3 or 4 watt max. However the watts of the LED's does not equal brightness. Its like comparing apples and oranges.

if you have a multimeter you can measure the voltage and amperage draw of them to figure it out. Volts * Amps = Watts
