There going to try pretty much everything under the sun and make the most power with a setup.

Not to jack the thread, but if someone wants to swap out the turbos for a single turbo setup, why get a 135 over a 128? I understand that there aren't any available right now, which may have something to do with it, but is there any other reason?

Main reason, the engine block itself. The N54 block is not the same as the N52 block - when developing the twin turbo setup, BMW found out the magnesium-aluminum N52 block could not withstand the increased pressure, so they used the block from the M54 E46 3.0L engine as a starting point.

Other smaller reasons, the 135i already has the IC plumbing, brackets, stronger transmission/clutch, reinforced mounts, better brakes etc.

AMS looks awesome from what I have read so far. They said they bought a new 335i for development.

How different is the engine compartment in the 335i from the 135i? Will there be enough room in our cars for a turbo kit that has been developed in the 335i?

^ I would think it should fit because RR downpipes, intakes and such fit so why not.
