need help e82 chimes/gongs

do you know how to reset or change the sound the car makes when an alert appears I.E low fuel, no seat belt or fault tones.

after putting an aftermarket cd player in my car the nice bmw chime noise has changed to a really annoying high pitched beep does anyone know how to set this back to default or what could have happened. it now comes from the back of the head unit instead of out the speakers.

i have a 2008 e82 1 series 120d
Erisin ES3840B head unit

everything works on the new head unit, reverse cam, bluetooth, cd player, touchscreen all othr sound through speakers etc i just wish the alert tones were the normal bmw chime from the speakers.

any help or suggestions appreciated

I'm about sure there is a way to code the alert out completely so maybe a tone change is possible.

Try posting your query in the E90 forum coding section.

Yes. If you get an answer that says what you want can be coded, you probably could get someone to help you locally.

I've coded out my idrive warning screen and tone. I know that isn't the exact same thing, but, point is there is a lot that can be done with coding. I'd really ask on the E90 coding subforum. I've gotten a good bit of help there - some of the frequent posters on there really know coding and programming.

No sadly not, set to zero, saved, rebooted keys out car back in and still get the alert tones from the back of the head unit when doors open etc
