CF hood, is it a original performance part ?

Sorry if this is a repost.

Look at this pictures, a CF hood on a 123d coupe. Is it a original performance part ?

anyone ?

I'm sure that is from the BMW Performance parts catalog. These are the first picture I have seen of it on an 128, so BMW must be adding it to their parts bin soon.

There are mirrors, spoilers, and interior parts in CF in the BMW Performance Catalog, but the hood is not listed. In the catalog, they show the white Tii hood, with the two fins on it.

I'm sure it will be available by somebody though...

Sweet, I hope it is actually light CF and not CF covering plastic or epoxy laden cheap CF like some of the after market ones that are heavier than aluminum hoods.

Looks great. Love the symmetrical weave pattern. They could have easily included the aero strakes (in the mold) along the outer edges as the Tii has, but didn't.

having been to the genva motorshow and got the bmw performance part catalogue and pricelist (even though its in swiss francs), the CF is not in there. I do not think that it is going to make public sale.
