Headlight Gremlins

Looking for a headlight expert.

I have an issue with my right side headlight assembly. Bulbs are all good. The Xenon headlight does not come on and my adaptive lights are not working, throwing a few codes. I have replaced the footwell module FRM. My question is, how many control boxes are on a headlight assembly? Is it only the HID ballast module or is there also an adaptive headlight module? Looking at Mobile Traditions, it looks like there are 2 modules. Can someone please confirm? Also, is it required to remove headlight assemblies to replace these modules? Thanks in advance.
