BMW 135i vs. 2016 Porsche GT3 RS and McLaren MP4-12C
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Racetrack: Sonoma Raceway (Sears Point) With a few proper mods, the 135i is no slouch! Enjoy the chase: Setup: Stock tune and 235/265 Hankook RS3's with Ohlins R&T, Quaife LSD, M3 arms/bushings, Vorshlag camber plates at -2.1, and PFC-08 pads with Motul RBF 660. Dyno'd at 270hp/272tq at the wheels. Cooling: Distilled water as engine coolant plus 2 bottles of Redline WaterWetter. Notes: The track was damp from light rain in the previous session and a little slippery near certain edges and strips. Although not as bad as at MRLS, brake fade was still a major issue.

Awesome! And on a stock tune this is all the more impressive.

Thanks for the comment! A tune would sure be nice to have! Will add more power eventually, but I'll need to upgrade cooling and brakes before even considering that. Currently as is, engine oil temp reaches around 270-280 consistently and braking is at its limits. |

I haven't got out to any of them yet. I'm hoping to go out to Spring Mountain this weekend just to check it out. Speed Ventures is running there this weekend.

Very cool... I like how you included the footwork as well. Great editing!

Good driving. You have that track completely measured. I'm wondering the level of driver in the other 2 cars.

Great video!
I was able to put down a 1:56.335 at Sonoma with a comparable setup: 235/265 RS3, Performance springs, Koni yellows, 1M 3.15 LSD, 1M arms front/rear, Dinan camber plates, distilled water+wetter with BMW aux. water radiator. |
