Real-world JB4 before and after.
Took my car to the track before and after installing the JB4. The car has 95K miles and has never had walnut blasting (getting that done next week).
Before: (Of all runs, these are the "best of"s) 60'-2.15 1/8-9.07 1/4-13.96 Trap-102.26 JB4 on Map 5 After 60'-2.11 1/8-8.64 1/4-13.15 Trap-109.78 This was my second run and was not even a really good Run. However, heatsoak set in and the best time after this was a 13.22. On a cool night, I know the car would do a 12.XX pass. Getting the walnut shell blasting will certainly keep the car in the 12's even on a bad run, or so I hope. |

You can use map 5 regardless of whether you have E85 or only 93 in your car. so for daily driving just leave it in map5.
The thing is when you want even more power than map 5 which will not autotune higher than 17psi, you have to go for map7 (or 6 if you've worked on your own map)... map7 is quite aggressive. I ran it when I gave the G5 a try not so long ago, I had 50% E85 but I also had meth injection. I would listen to Terry. He is basically saying at 50 E85 with 93, you are still short on octane. |
