Go Pro's, Harry's Laptimer, and livestreaming track days

So, I am a complete n00b to in car video (and go pros period) but want to start being able to critique my own performance and have some hopefully cool videos to share this HPDE season. I decided to start small...got a used tablet and Go Pro 4 Silver plus a dualGPS device. I use HLT and right now have a single arm mount attached to the passenger headrest so the camera is about dead center between the driver and passenger. Tablet will mount behind the driver seat to a headrest mount (don't need to see it in real time). I also have an OBDII BT dongle on the OBDII port for car data. Overall, it all seems to work and I created a track in HLT that takes me from my driveway to work that I will test tomorrow. My first question is really an open call for pointers and/or what you learned/what you use in your car. Things like how long go pro batteries last, what camera settings you use, etc etc would be much appreciated.

Second, my wife saw all this video stuff and asked, "Hey, does that mean I can watch you drive via facebook while at the track? . So I have a secondary quest now as well... I am doing research, but it doesn't appear I can do this with what I have...The tablet is wifi only. I have an android phone but it turns off the 4G when the wifi is on to connect to the GoPro so it cannot stream to the internet( I think some iPhones can do this but am not willing to change teams at this point. ) Anyone livestreaming their track days? What do you use?

Looking at dashcams now (as a separate camera just for livestreaming) but the only one that comes close is the owl, and it is apple only at this point...

You might want to plan on a third device to live stream. HLT, in my experience, does not work in the background nor works when the device screen is off. I've run into this problem with my HTC M8 and my current Galaxy S8, haven't found an option that allows it to, and I've lost a few sessions because of it.

also make sure you sync your gopro to harrys before you go out racing it was kind of a pain the first time i did it.

I'm about to be in the same boat as OP.

My plan is to buy a GoPro Session for my helmet POV, a GPS for HLT on my main phone, and I'll be using my work iPhone to stream live on FB when I want.

From the few times I've used HLT, it has to be running and on the main screen like said above.

I like iLapTimer because it is cloud based, I just lost 2yr of Harrys data due to getting a new phone and Harrys storing lap data locally.
