FM radio problem
So I was trying to listen to the radio this morning and no sound was coming out. I noticed that all the info was streaming from the radio signal but there was no sound. So I switched it to AM and it worked fine. For some reason the FM isn't producing any sound. I tried to search but there wasn't much related to this. Could it be a software issue?

This is new. See if the problem persists the next time you drive.
If it does, I'd go see an SA asap to show him the issue at hand. BMWs have the bad habit of fixing themselves (temporarily) when you visit the dealership. |

Ya I did try different FM stations. None worked.
Its ok though, the problem was solved. I just had to turn the car off and turn it back on. Weird.

I had something simialr happen to me this morning. It was the first time it's ever occured.
When I started the car, it was set to CD but no audio was coming out. I then switched to FM thinking the CD might be scratched or something and...nothing. I finally ejected the CD, turned the radio off and back on and it worked. For a second, I thought the amp might have blown. |
