Error code after MHD flash
Hi people.
Be gentle please, first post. I flashed my DME tonight with MHD and map 0, the stock map, mainly to flash the linear throttle option (hoping to reduce pedal lag). While I was there, I added the burble/ backfire option.... just coz. However, I looked at the error logs, and I now have 36BE, VIN missing or incorrect. Any ideas why? Is this a problem, and if so, how do I fix it? Other codes that appear in history from the same date are 2E0F valvetronic deactivated, adjustment fault too frequent and 2BC0 mixture control fuel air mixture too lean (this worries me!) Can anyone offer some advice? It's a late 2010 N55 135i. TIA Last edited by scottgze; 03-23-2022 at 05:34 AM.. Reason: forgot to mention car type |

41 views, and no ideas?
Well, it seems (as I suspect most of you already knew), that it was just post-flash shenanigans in the DME. This morning it was fine, no codes, and an amazing throttle pedal. Got tired of the pops and bangs pretty quick, re-flashed at lunchtime to code that out. Time will tell if the pedal stays the same, or the DME "learns" to re-introduce the BMW lag. |

I had this same issue for a little while when I first flashed MHD as well. It eventually resolved itself and I don't know why. But I never had any problems with the car, so don't be too concerned.

I think the 36BE has to do with whatever they did to get around the need to bench flash. I've had it on mine since I did the BEF and haven't had any issues, the other codes I haven't had any experience with.
