Valve cover...what a PITA!
Just wanted to vent. If you haven't done this job yet and watched "N55" videos online to educate yourself, be forewarned, most of those are on models with bigger engine bays. I also had a much easier time with my N54 335 a few years ago so was lulled into a "how hard can it be?" state.
FYI, the back 3 bolts are terrible to get to and you actually need to unbolt and/or disconnect some plastic moulding pieces under the window to *just barely* squeeze it out, all while worrying you are gonna crack the rear top plastic piece connected to the window or break off a piece of the VC that drops into the engine. Hope I can get the new one on without breaking something...maybe every maintenance procedure for our cars should start with "remove engine from car and attach to engine hoist." Ok, I feel better now. *Long Exhale*.

You'll wanna be *VERY* sure the seal stays in place along that back edge too.
Well, all of it really, but that back corner can be entertaining...
