I would remove the stripes before I dropped it.

Yea I'm not much of a fan of wheel gap. I want to go lower but I've got a couple things holding me back: It's not easy to have mods done in Switzerland especially as a foreigner, Its 2x more expensive than in the US, I'll scrape/snowplow in given seasons, I'll accumulate even more car parts in my flat
Will see. I've been eying up the kw vareints. |

Then my car would look just like yours!
One part of me thinks it would almost disgrace the car to remove all the strips. They commemorate the 2009 BMW formula 1 race team. There are only 135 of these cars in the world. You cannot order the strips from BMW unless you can prove that you own one. I've already brought some goo gone from the states cause I was gonna remove them....I'm still on the fence. |

The guy just got his car, could we let him drive it around and enjoy it before telling him to drop it? The car looks great...enjoy her! Oh and btw, keep the stripes if they signify something.

Thanks Rieffer. I did just get the car in the spring on this year and only managed to put 5000km on it. Absolutely true, still just enjoying it in its present state. I dont want to mod too fast or ill just get bored of it and also have too much money sunk into it.
From my STI days, i know that modding is disease. Once i make changes, i start yearning for more...the car is amazing how it is, ride quality is nice without being overly harsh, great power and unique looks. Im soo glad to own a BMW |

Looks great! Enjoy driving it first before modding as RiefferD said! Doesn't "need" a drop actually.
Have fun with your bimmer!

People that have no idea what a Sauber edition 1er is saying to remove the stripes is cracking me up.
Simple answer....fuck no. Car looks amazing man. Yes a drop would really finish it off, but seriously looks great as it is. Thanks for sharing. |

Beautiful car bro. Other than a suspension mod, I wouldn't do anything to it.

The Cobb stage 1 map really takes the performance to the next level with a simple reflash. Its super easy to use and uninstall need be. The newest mapping is really smooth with a nice top end pull. |

I was under the impression that something with the brackets made them difficult to install on US spec cars. I could be making that up though

Yep, there is a problem : the airbags won't work on US spec vehicles

Some guy had been importing the seats to the states and selling a "patch cable" to make them work on a US car. I think he wanted like $5K for the seats and his adaptor cable. I think the Perf seats sell for $1,500 euros each over here. Dack
