Interior dome/map lights cover
Hello all,
this morning is started with replacing the original interior lights for led lights and that worked out fine for most of the part. For the other small part I have some problems... the first problem is that I can't remove the right front map light. I have tried everything but the light bulb won't come out... The second problem is the interior rear light dome/map cover. I replaced all the lights but can't replace the cover. So the 2 questions are: How do i remove the light bulb without breaking anything (mabby some tips?) and how do i reinstall the rear dome/map light cover... I searched through the forum but didn't find any related topic so hopefully you can help me out with this 2 problems! Thanks in advance. Regards, Muscle M from the Netherlands! |

Read this PDF and follow the instructions. This is what I used.
I spent hours trying to figure it out, watching videos on youtube, etc. Found this PDF and was done in 20 minutes. Props to ECS. |

Getting the bulbs out is really easy if you use the instructions I posted. You take then whole light assembly out of the roof and then remove the bulbs from the top of the assembly.

Gents,
thanks for the tips and tricks! All the bulbs are changed for led lights and it looks awesome! further I managed to install the map/doom light cover in the rear. Hopefully it will stay as it is right now haha! Have a nice weekend all of you. |

Don't accidentally break your frosted plastic dome light cover because you cant buy a new one separately you have to purchase an entire new roof console.
I broke mine the other night attempting to pull the roof console (before if found this thread) on the bright side it really does not look half bad without the frosted plastic, and its brighter. Just does not match the rear, i may try removing it as well. |
