Windshield Haze?

O.K. I admit...I'm a bit OCD when it comes to my windows, especially with the windshield but I've noticed I get a haze on the inside of my windshield mere days after cleaning it (I use Invisible Glass). I suspect it comes from the air conditioning as it's been warmer recently so it's been on more frequently. I've been keeping a microfiber towel in my car to wipe it when I can which cleans most of it. However, I'm getting tired of cleaning it daily and it can leave streaks/smears. Any suggestions to help keep the inside of the windshield cleaner for longer?

Sounds like a fogging over a few days. Aquapel makes a anti fogging spray just for that.
Give that a try.. Bavauto.com

Try the Invisible Glass with the repellant. My wife uses it on the house windows and they no longer water spot. It might repel the haze.

It's not fogging from condensation. It's some kind of haze/film from off-gassing from the dash or the air conditioning unit. Makes me wonder what I'm inhaling as I drive!

That's what I've been using - great stuff - just doesn't do anything to prevent the haze/film.

Same issue here, but it's gotten better the older the car gets. The first month I was cleaning it every week. Now I don't notice it until after a month or so. Not sure there's much that can be done to prevent it.

And you are spot on with the inhaling comment. It's very good practice to roll your windows down for a few minutes, particularly in the summer, when you first get in after the car has sat for a while. And wipe down the inside of the windows and plastics frequently to minimize the amount of crap your lungs will be filtering.

I have the same issue using invisible glass. Not sure if its IG itself or what but it actually builds into a bad haze within 2-3 days. FWIW I rarely use the vents and have windows down this time of year, I'm not convinced its a/c related.

If you find any more info please let us know here

It's definitely out-gassing from the interior plastics.

It'll get better over time, but that probably also means that your interior plastics are drying out... Applying a protectant like Vinylex or 303 Aerospace Protectant should prevent this.

I always get this hazy coating which reflects sunlight when I use a microfiber towel.

I now only use lint free cloths with success.

What product do you use on the dash? Some cheaper products will cause this issue
