SSTT installed...impressions
I woke up this morning and installed me SSTT that I ordered from Velocity Motorcars and I have to say it is one amazing product...my total install time was 23 minutes (i have the dual bms cones and theyre way easier than the airbox IMO)...immediate, very noticeable power gain, but the torque is amazing. 4th gear feels like 3rd and i ran out of road before i got to fully expericence the cars capabilities...time for a trip to buttonwillow!! anyone want to split the cost? lol

Do SSTT and JB3 work off the same concept?

JB3 FTW!! SSTT was going to be the first mod I went with, but after researching and going back and forth, I decided to go with JB1 and have fun with it for a while, then trade up for JB3. Have fun with your new mod.

I've got the SSTT as well, and the performance is great considering the price and simplicity of the installation. I'll probably upgrade to a full tune later on after I get some other parts installed, but I'm sure I won't have too much trouble selling the SSTT when I do.

the dyno sheet that came with the SSTT says 326hp and 331ftlbs on a 335i. i just drove my car stock for the first time today (adaptive headlight failure) since the install and its not the same lol. im not sure of the difference between them, but a quick search should yield all of the right info...

Obviously it's not the kind of kick in the ass you're going to get from a full tune, but for an inexpensive, easy to install mod, it's hard to beat for the money. |
