I tinted cars for almost 10 years, Clear Bra stuff is very similar. I put a precut kit on my P-car but I wouldn't recomend doing it yourself unless you are really artistically inclined or very meticulous. Find a good shop and negotiate the price. Make sure they are doing this as a main part of their business not a sideline; one or two a week. You really don't want any problems. Some of the prices cited here are really high, and that's fine if you are getting the best job. A high end job means really good material and the finished product is very clear with edges that barely show. They should have pictures of high end cars they have done, and there should be close ups, macro photography, of their work. Even if you go low end it really isn't that noticible, especially if you skip the 1/2 hood treatment. Personally, I'll take a few chips on the hood over the big line the film leaves. It's really the verticle parts on the bumper and front fenders that take the beating. Think about it.

I have it and love it...hardly noticeable and very durable so far. No chips at all on front of car. For me it was an excellent investment and mine also comes with lifetime warranty.

here's my setup. I'm extremely happy with the results. the front end, bottom sides, rear quarters and headlights are all protected.

I'm thinking about getting one for my 135i immediately after I pick it up. I saw an M3 in the showroom that had one on, but it only went up 1/3 of the hood and I think if I had it done, I'd want to get the whole hood done. Do you think that would be doable? And would a clear bra look good on a jet black car? (The M3 I saw it on was white)

(I plan on having it professionally done btw)

I had mine done, 1/3rd on the bonnet, and to all of you who think it's ugly or a waste of time ... good on ya !! However, you can get a full coverage using 3M, but it's quite a lot more as they have to use a wider roll of cover to cut out from.

This is my 3rd car with it on, I think it is totally worth it !!

Get aftermarket made from 3M. Find someone who has good reviews to put it on. Make sure they will come back to touch something up if you want them too. I have a number of someone good for anyone in Chicagoland.

Yes! If you're leasing.. no.

I had 3M film installed on the front end, behind all four wheels, and down the full length of both lower panels between the front and rear wheels.

Since nobody has answered, you do need to wait to Zaino after it has been installed, and then Zaino over the bra material as well. Since you would probably do the Zaino immediately after getting the bra installed, just be careful to clay bar away from the edge of the bra. I mean direction of on the bra towards the paint, not wiping on the paint towards the bra. You don't want clay to get under the film while it is still drying. That happened to my brother, and we had to have the pieces replaced.

The mirrors whistle? What tune? Seriously, it could be that there is a bit of material not flat against the mirror. The mirrors are a funny shape that if they try to protect all of the leading face of the mirror as they normally would, there is a little section that wouldn't lay flat. My guy had to give a bit less protection to get it to fit properly.
