Better cooling and the ability to replace only the disc not the whole rotor

But to answer your question, I WILL be swapping in rear discs for track outings, if for nothing else to avoid re-bedding every time and mixing possibly incompatible pad materials. (I currently have a set of rear OEM replacement discs I got for 45 bucks @ ECS Tuning). If the two-piece discs are lighter and (hopefully) lower temps, that's an added bonus for me.

it might not be quite 5 pounds, since rotor is smaller, but the aluminum hat is what shaves most of the weight. i just dont want someone to be upset if they get the rotor and it weighs 4.7 pounds less, you know what i mean? do you want me to put your name down on the list?

20 Pounds of unsprung weight is a big deal. I would get these rotors right now if they were available. |

Yeah they never responded back to my question either. BTW these rotors are 2 mm thicker. Not sure how you can squeeze a new set of pads especially if you have ti shims. Would have been interested if it was oe width. Also it wouldn't hurt with sales if they reply back to potential customers emails. Just saying...

2 mm thicker is a good thing. The reason our oem rotors suck is because they are too thin. Their website is saying that they fit with no issue. Also, we may not need to use ti shims with improved cooling of two piece rotors as they claim.

David, have you had any overheating problems with your rear brakes? I've only had problems in front so far, but I haven't tried a really aggressive pad yet.

If I hadn't replaced my pads 3 times already and hadn't seen how tight of a squeeze it was, I may have believed them too. Glad you guys will try out first
