Difficult Downpipe Fitment Issue

Hello everyone,

I am trying to install a set of VRSF V2 Catless Downpipes onto my 2009 135i convertible (manual). No matter which way I try to clock my driver's side pipe, it seems to hit the bolt shown in the attached picture. Has anyone had this issue and found a solution? Thank you in advance!

I'm thinking I'll just pound out a bend in the downpipe and stop worrying about it - thoughts?
