Once, at a steakhouse in NY called Nick & Stefs, I had "Canadian Bacon" that was actually kind of like bacon but much thicker.

I have no idea wtf real Canadian bacon is because what I buy tastes like ham and is cylindrical in shape cut into round slices. 97% lean. Only thing bacon about it is that its pork and its smoked.

And not all bacon is smoked!

No we didn't do anything. We met up a coffee shop (not Starbucks) for an hour while he typed a report of some sort. Then back his place where he made dinner. Salmon. My favorite.
