They are very similar to the E46 M3 size and placement. Are they childish as well?

Never heard exhaust tips described as childish.

Also, it's been noted in a few other threads that the exhaust was likely not final.

Great catch!

Like the little 'SPORT' indicator in the OBD/dash.

Notice how different the VO can look on the pic where the driver high-fives - below the crease it is 'flaming orange' when hit with direct sunlight, otherwise a lot more subdued.

While they are not the prettiest, they are by far no where near as ugly as other states. The new NY orange ones are hideous (especially if placed on a VO car). The NJ ones are at least more neutral and can blend on any car.

This 1M requires spacers a drop and real exhaust tips, like all M cars since the late 1980's, IMO.

And yes, my old 2004 E46 M3 had childish OEM exhaust tips, but I fixed that pretty easily: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showp...6&postcount=43

Very nice! But did anyone notice the halogen headlamps? I thought a 1M would come with Xenons standard. Or maybe this is just a pre-production model.

Judging by the lack of any options, it is a full stripper (notice no PDC, headlight washer nozzles, etc.) So not the same one as the Detroit car.

Valencia Orange makes that car perfect. That car will go down in history as one of the greats.

I noticed the new pics... it looks extremely redish, I guess due to the camera (probably cell phone). I hope it's not that red. But the first pic from the gas station looks great.

I see the warts... ie: the headlight washers! I think the problem is that these photos are low res shots - its kind of hard to see small details.

Warts on the drivers side headlight bumper cover... and those ARE Xeon lights and not halogens.

Exhaust tips are hideous. They look like the Remus quads.

It's unique to the 1 ///M, activated through the steering wheel button (M-mode)

This isnt the autoshow car... those are either pop up washers or a reflection, they arent the warts.
