My M-sport car came with the M dead pedal, so I left it as is. I like the extra grip with these new pedals, although that may come from them simply being new, rather than being some design advantage.

Just dropped off the e88 for window tint. I've found these non tinted windows let in a ton of solar heat. Did this to my old 128 and control of heat was vastly improved, AC worked much better...

I have to go back over that. It shouldn't be an issue because I didn't change it much.
It seems like it's something to do with the kickdown, which I have coded out and turned off everywhere I could find. I just haven't been ballsy enough to do back to back testing ... If it is broke I don't want to make it worse, ya'know. It'll happen once and I'm like yup, be nice, get home.

Had my front tires mounted and installed at America's Tire. Now I finally have a square setup.

Like when they installed my rears, the slobs at America's Tire left their grubby fingerprints on my trunk lid and fenders.

Nice. My car only came with the M Suspension option.....but nothing else like the headliner or steering wheel that I've read about.

Pic looks good, wheels look great. They go really well with your Alpine White paint.

I've got the M dead pedal. Really don't care about the M just for the sake of an M.

I also have the Anthracite headliner, which I like. Goes with my black interior. Even better is the M steering wheel, which I love.

Ordered 3M vinyl for the sunroof delete panel...I'll do the install right this time, and not in 30 degree weather with no heat gun by my side. We also have some Avalon King Armor Shield 9 ceramic coating on the way, and my car gets to be guinea pig. That also means that I have to polish my car, and get it lookin' real spiffy before I seal it in. I'll probably only be able to do a panel per day And then, I get to do my mother's F-150, which will surely take forever, and eventually my father's GTI. But, I'll get more car parts out of it, which is always a good thing.

I've got my first track day on Sunday, which I'm super excited for. My alignment feels amazing, and I'm excited to see how the solid rear subframe bushings will feel on the track (they felt amazing in the mountains).

Edit: Added pics of the new slicktop headliner from the UK, and the tall-boy Condor shift knob that I got for Christmas but never took a picture of. Yes, the shift boot is wrong; it is also from the UK, and their shifter surrounds are mirrors of ours, hence the weird stretch at the bottom left.

Wheels came today.

I can confirm they weigh 17.5 lbs. (bathroom scale with 0.50 lb accuracy).
Factory rear 261 on same scale, 26.5 lbs.

With a 10mm spacer you'll get 5mm clearance to strut tube (Koni FSD, should be same as stock), stock control arms (M arms will reduce this clearance, pushes bottom of hub out).

Second pic is a factory 18x8.5 (style 261) with a 10mm spacer, 255/35 indy 500 (backup plan)

Factory center caps fit, though just a smidge looser (depth) than I'd like. File maybe .5mm off tabs for perfect fit.

Seems to fit perfect on rear, no spacer.

Update once tires arrive, next week.

Couple quick grabs of logs on the 7.5" Race-

Is just an MHD OTS Stage 1+ map, so not massive boost, but still

One of a 4th gear run ending at -1* (yep, dropped a degree...)
Two showing start and end of a 3rd - 6th run with a delta of +7*
Ambient temp was ~78* for both

Pretty darn impressive, can't wait to see how it behaves in Florida August temps...

Thanks. I need to look at pictures of the M steering wheel to make sure I don't have one. Mine doesn't say M on the steering wheel anywhere, so I just assumed I didn't have one.

The top pic is the M wheel. The bottom pic is the standard wheel for the 1 series. Pics are courtesy of Dack.

Just to be pedantic, that's a M-Sport wheel.
Not to be confused with the standard M3 steering wheel:

Lots of people ditch their M-sport wheel in preference for the M3 wheel. I did, but then switched straight back because I found the M3 wheel got slippery without those perforations on the M-Sport wheel.

Agreed. The M steering wheel is fantastic.

Outside of the seats being mounted a little high, I dare say that I prefer the steering wheel, shift knob, seats and overall driving positing of the 135i to my old Porsche Cayman and 911. The car really fits me like a glove.

Never drove a Cayman or a 911 but love the way I fit in my 1er. Yep, just like a glove.

That hyper silver is a strikingly attractive wheel. For your stated price, I wasn't expecting much. Enjoy! And let us know how they hold up. That's very light!
