Show off your carbon fiber & black grilles, mirror caps, and spoilers!

I'm having a hard time deciding what color I want to order, and one consideration is how it looks with the carbon fiber spoiler, mirror caps, and black grilles that I definitely want.

I'd love to see various shots of those on any color, and I'm sure it would be helpful to others to have them all in one thread, as the colors are (which is great, btw).

Thanks!

Here are some pics of the CF stuff. I took these at the 1er forum meet a few weeks ago in Fränkische Schweiz/Bamberg area.

here is my original post:

Oli's car...

Not CF but I love the paint black roof!

Btw... the BMW CF stuff looks sooo awsome in person. It is really worth the high price IMO. Very high quality and looks AND fit!

That black roof looks great!

Which blue is that? I'm debating between Montego & Le Mans, but haven't ruled out Space Gray either...

Wish I could have one of each!

you will never regret space grey.. i promise it really is a special color, the way the light hits it compared to others colors... pictures speak for themselves... this is coming from a die hard black/ black person or used to be black/ black

Yeah, I always said I'd never have a gray car, but I have to say, Space Gray Metallic is really making me rethink that! It does a fantastic job of showing off the curves.

I've leaned toward bright, "fun" colors in the past (yellow Integra Type-R, blue S2000, yellow S2000), and am tempted to go that way with my 135, but then I see how nice the contrast is with Alpine White & black/CF, how rich Space Gray is... It's not easy to decide!

One thing that makes me lean toward gray is that it's somewhat stealth. I'm going to have the BMW Performance Exhaust, so I think the car will already draw attention, and a low-profile color might be a nice offset to that.

Then I start looking at pictures of Montego and Le Mans again...

What's especially hard is not seeing Le Mans in real life; I've seen all the other colors.

My car would be LeMans Blue if it had been available. I found Montego Blue just a touch too bright, but now I really like it. BMW canceled Sparkling Graphite just before my 09 went into production, so the AW was really my third choice.

iPhone pics aren't that great, but here are a few:

By the way, DSB truly looks amazing, including the carbon fiber goodies. I will take some better shots with a nicer camera as soon as I get a chance.

I think that 123d coupe was a Montego Blue color. Montego has alot of POP to it in direct sunlight. On cloudy over cast days (ie typical German days!) it looks kind of purple hue in some low light circumstances.

IF you look at the other hatch with the CF exhaust pannel - that car was LeMans Blue. LeMans Blue is a flatter darker hue of blue.

I originally ordered a Montego Blue car... but then every 135i I would see on base as that color. AND on cloudy rainy days it just looks too purple to my liking. So... I went woth TiAg Silver.

Space Grey really looks classy. You don't alot of 1er's in that color... but like you said it really shows off the curves of our cars. Love that color. Esp with Coral Red interior!

The purple aspect is the thing my wife & I don't care for, but it sure is amazing in sunlight! I worry that the Le Mans may be too dark. I currently have a black car, and regret it; swirls, swirls, and more swirls.

I agree re: Space Gray. And I think it's got a nice contrast with the CF/black parts. But those blues are gorgeous!

I've never had so much trouble choosing a color for a car! (This is a nice "problem" to have though...)

Yea... choosing a color was the hardest thing for me too. Once you do chose... and place your order.... you do have some time until you can make changes on teh build options and color selection. I changed my mind about a week after placing my order.

Go look at the color threads here on 1addicts. I also used Google's image search for finding out what the colors look liked in daylight and at night. I'd say go with Space Grey.
